Compact Sondes for Tight Spaces
Prototek’s Mini Sondes are built for the lines other transmitters can’t reach. When paired with Prototek’s custom battery caps for push rods, these compact 512 Hz sondes provide accurate location tracking even in the tightest runs.
The FM-05 is the smallest in the line — 5/8″ diameter, just over an inch of usable body and 1.1 oz — ideal on a fish tape and able to work in lines as small as 1″. It runs on a single 357 button cell and locates roughly 5 ft in cast iron and 7 ft in non-metallic pipe.
The slightly larger FD-10 steps up range and runtime for push-rod and sewer-camera work in 2″ lines and up: ~9 ft in cast iron and ~15 ft in non-metallic, powered by an N-cell. Both are 512 Hz sondes, so any 512 Hz receiver can track them.
