Dual-Channel Ground Penetrating Radar Utility Locator
The ImpulseRadar PinPointR is a dedicated Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) utility locator, designed to maximize in-field productivity and decision-making. Its proprietary Real-Time Sampling (RTS) antenna technology delivers exceptional bandwidth and resolution without speed restrictions — all controlled wirelessly through an intuitive Android-driven user interface.
Dual-channel operation runs a 400 MHz low-frequency and an 800 MHz high-frequency antenna together, so a single pass returns the full depth range and improves both locating efficiency and decision-making. There are no cables to lose or break, which simplifies set-up and minimizes operational servicing costs. Data is geo-referenced as standard via internal GPS, with DGPS or RTK-GPS supported for higher mapping accuracy.
The ViewPoint Android app marks up data in the field to match paint marks on the ground and generates automatic utility reports for job and ticket sign-off. Back in the office, CrossPoint visualization software processes and interprets the GPR data and exports geo-referenced markers into CAD/GIS platforms. It locates communication, gas, power, electric, sewer, water, ducts, conduits and culverts.
