Electro-Acoustic Ground Microphone
The Stethophon 04 is an electro-acoustic listening device for pinpointing water leaks. It amplifies the leak noise transmitted through the ground and pipe fittings so the operator can locate the leak precisely by ear. A range of interchangeable sensors adapts it to any situation: the EM 35 ground microphone for listening on the surface directly above the pipe, a test probe (contact rod) for fittings and valves, and a magnet attachment for hydrants.
Adjustable amplification and filtering let the operator isolate the leak sound from background interference, while the lightweight amplifier and headphones make it quick to deploy. Simple, rugged and dependable, the Stethophon 04 remains a proven tool for everyday water leak pinpointing.
