The Loc3 series broadband transmitters offer selectable induction and direct-connection frequencies from 98 Hz to 200 kHz, positive-identification modes, fault-find, and true resistance measurement up to 1 MΩ. The two-inch dot matrix display with LED backlight shows output current, connection type, volts, resistance, frequency, volume, battery condition and high-voltage warnings.

The 5-Watt (Loc3-5Tx) is the everyday choice for general pipe and cable locating. The 10-Watt (Loc3-10Tx) adds extra output for longer, deeper or noisier runs and offers Signal Select (SD) positive-identification frequencies. Both include an 8 kHz fault-find mode for sheath-to-ground faults and support induction, direct-connect and clamp modes that are selected automatically when an accessory is plugged in.

Packaged in a lightweight, rugged, ergonomic IP54 housing, the transmitter ensures consistent current output and protects against inadvertent connection to voltages up to 240 V.
