The SePem® 155 by Sewerin is an advanced noise logger system designed for the effective detection and monitoring of leaks within water distribution networks. By systematically recording and analyzing acoustic signals within pipelines, the SePem® 155 enables early identification of existing leaks and facilitates prompt detection of new ones, thereby minimizing water loss and infrastructure damage.
This system comprises the SePem® 155 data loggers and the SePem® 01 Master receiver. The data loggers are equipped with highly sensitive piezo microphones optimized for leak detection, capable of capturing noises over extensive distances. They can be magnetically attached to valve rod extensions, hydrants, or other fittings within the pipeline network. During periods of low water consumption—typically between 2:00 am and 4:00 am—the loggers record acoustic data, as minimal background noise during these hours enhances the accuracy of leak detection.
The SePem® 155 system offers versatility through its dual application modes: mobile and permanent monitoring. In mobile mode, loggers are temporarily deployed in specific sections of the network to conduct short-term assessments, allowing for comprehensive coverage by relocating the units as needed. For permanent monitoring, the loggers are installed at fixed locations to continuously oversee the pipeline network, enabling the immediate detection of new leaks as they occur.
