Ferrous Metal Detector
The VM-880 finds the buried ferrous assets that disappear after groundwork, resurfacing or heavy snow — valve and manhole covers, boundary markers, tanks and pipe joints. Because it detects only magnetic or ferrous materials, it rejects aluminum cans, bottle caps and other non-ferrous clutter.
A simple audio and visual interface keeps training to a minimum while the latest sensor technology delivers maximum sensitivity and depth range. At just 1.54 lb (0.7 kg) it is by far the lightest in its class, with no compromise on strength: the submersible carbon-fiber antenna tube is both lightweight and protective.
Field polarity, 50/60 Hz warning, continuous battery level, signal-strength indicators and one-touch sensitivity control round out a tool built for an ever-demanding job site.
