A-Frame Cable & Fault Locator
The VM-510FFL+ is a combination cable locator and ground-fault locator. Used with a compatible fault-find transmitter, the A-frame identifies the position of a cable and locates insulation faults to ground as well as pipeline coating defects that are in contact with the ground.
The display shows mode, frequency, Peak/Null/Left-Right guidance, depth and current, plus fault signal strength and direction. With cable-locate sensitivity of 10µA at one meter and the ability to detect a 2 MΩ fault at one-meter depth, it pinpoints problems quickly and accurately — depth accuracy is ±5% from 4 in to 10 ft.
Built from carbon fiber, reinforced glass fiber and high-impact ABS, the IP54-rated A-frame works with Loc and Loc3 series transmitters with FF modes, as well as the VM-550FF and VM-560FF.
