Low-Frequency Utility Locator
The vLoc3-XLF uses extra-low frequencies specific to long-line locating. These low frequencies travel further with less coupling onto adjacent lines and are less susceptible to distortion — making the XLF ideal for long-haul fiber, metropolitan loop networks and pipeline transmission lines.
Alongside the classic locate screen, the vLoc3 series adds Vector Locate for fully automatic, non-walk-over locating; a Transverse Graph showing peak and null modes simultaneously to expose distortion instantly; Plan View showing cable orientation at any angle; and a Sonde screen with omnidirectional guidance arrows.
User-configurable with eight passive locate modes, fault-find modes and frequencies from 32 Hz to 32.8 kHz. Visual and vibration alerts warn of shallow depth, overload, overhead cables and excessive swinging. Plug-and-play options include a Bluetooth module for external GPS and the plug-in vLoc3-MLA marker locator adapter.
