Buddy® Fiberglass Duct & Conduit Rodders
Since 1980, Jameson’s Buddy® System of rodders and fish tapes has grown into one of the most comprehensive lines in the industry. The round, flexible rod slides easily over wires in occupied conduit and offers exceptional bending strength for maneuvering tight turns — whether you’re installing a short run of electrical wire or pulling long-distance copper or fiber-optic cable.
The Good Buddy® uses a 3/8″ OD rod for smaller conduit and shorter runs. The Big Buddy® and Mega Buddy® step up to a 1/2″ rod for conduit 4″ and larger — the Big Buddy in 400–1,000 ft lengths, and the heavy-duty Mega Buddy carrying 1,500 ft for manhole-to-manhole work and long cable pulls.
Every Buddy rod is non-conductive, with a solid fiberglass core and a polymer outer sheath that resists abrasion and reduces friction. A drag brake and safety feed eye control payout, rod is marked every 5 ft (metric every 1 m), and an accessory kit is included for field splicing and end-ferrule repair. All-terrain wheels are available.
