Wireless Drain Inspection System
The vCamDrain is a Wi-Fi reel controlled entirely by the vCam Mobile Controller (VMC) app. Connected over Wi-Fi, the app controls the camera lights, distance-counter reset, sonde and text writer, and shows the reel’s Wi-Fi, battery and charging status. Recording is done in the app and can be instantly shared or copied to the reel’s USB port.
A stainless-steel 0.70 in (18 mm) HD camera with a sapphire lens and ultra-bright LEDs produces a crisp image of the pipe interior. The 9 mm custom pushrod balances flexibility and pushing strength for lines from 1.5 to 3 in, and its drag-resistant nylon jacket navigates multiple bends, tight turns, p-traps and most toilet traps. Both the camera head and the spring assembly with its built-in 512 Hz sonde are field-serviceable.
Internal Li-ion batteries deliver consistent power — a six-hour charge provides 12 hours of use with intermittent sonde. Balanced and ergonomic, the reel weighs just 17 lb in the 100 ft version.
